Bums of Manarchy
3 knuckleheads in Chicago, talking shit. For fun. The “Bums of Manarchy” is a Chicago-based podcast, hosted by 3 friends. Our weekly format is recorded in two parts. The first half content is all about sports, and the second half is for everything else (beer reviews, life hacks, complaints, knowledge drops, geo-political issues, streaming show reviews, etc.). Sports in the front, party in the back. Give us a listen! We take listener requests seriously!
Bums of Manarchy
B.O.M. - Episode 0054 - Cat Pee On The Nose
The Bums kick-off the top of Episode 0054 with a head nod to our unofficial Holiday that is April 20th, before diving into sports chatter; citizen funding of Buffalo Bills stadium is bemoaned — a cautionary tale for the Chicago Bears and the McCaskey family; while on his death bed, former Chicago Bear and Super Bowl Champion Steve “Mongo” McMichael gets a visit from the Punky QB; Jimmy Mac has a new Netflix documentary in the works; coach Jay Wright hangs up his grease board sooner than expected; Paddy drops a jaw dropping IDKNT segment on the topic of NCAA Coaching; and Eddie discusses one of the unwritten rules of MLB.
For the bottom half of E0054, the Bums navigate another world famous beer review — as Chicago’s very own Old Irving Brewing (OIB) drops a new Dry Hop Lager called “Oni” (ABV 5.9%), which is chock full of Citra and Amarillo hops; Rocky reviews his birthday extravaganza with reviews of two kick-ass establishments - Club Lucky and Avondale Tap in Chicago; Eddie gifts Rocky a 180 gram vinyl masterpiece at the hands of All Rock staple —Soundgarden; Camp Lucy gets put in the stable for the summer; the Bums reflect on couch wars current and past; the Laker’s new docuseries comes under fire at the hands of an NBA basketball God; and Eddie reviews a new documentary called ’Summer of Soul’ (circa. 1969). All of this and a shitload more!!
Recorded on April 21st, 2022 at B.O.M.’s global headquarters, the Eagle’s Nest, in Chicago, IL USA.
