Bums of Manarchy
3 knuckleheads in Chicago, talking shit. For fun. The “Bums of Manarchy” is a Chicago-based podcast, hosted by 3 friends. Our weekly format is recorded in two parts. The first half content is all about sports, and the second half is for everything else (beer reviews, life hacks, complaints, knowledge drops, geo-political issues, streaming show reviews, etc.). Sports in the front, party in the back. Give us a listen! We take listener requests seriously!
Bums of Manarchy
B.O.M. - Episode 0063 - Geyser
The Bums return after a week-long McCOVID related break. On the fore end, the Bums review NFL Week 1 action, trials and tributlations, including the flood bowl in Chicago, Justin Fields progression, the Flus is Loose (and actually capable of making 2nd half adjustments); a prospective rendering of the Arlington Heights Bears new stadium (to convert or not to convert & which suckers are paying); Brett “Dick Pic” Favre is in trouble again — extending his streak of hillbilly grifting; as talk moves to NCAA Football, putting the Sun Belt in focus; Notre Dame shits the bed; Bryan “Bayou” Kelley gets schooled in his Week 1 presser (his faux tough guy routine backfires in his stupid, smug face); ending with the Chicago Sky’s WNBA playoff run (flickering out).
The aft end begins with another intergalactic beer review; Boston McD comes through again with a kick ass production from Night Shift Brewing in Everett, MA — their flagship beer, “Whirlpool”, a Hazy New England pale ale (ABV 4.5%) that is crushable, and tops in its category; Rocky’s fly fishing partner drops a YouTube video synopsis, chronicling their recent Alaskan adventure; an unprecedented flood clobbers Northwestern Chicago (as Rocky’s video may very well go viral); FanDuel’s season-long “Best Ball” sucks a bag of you-know-whats; discussion of QE2’s white nationalism; and in an amazing twist, Paddy is pissed — tune in to find out why (this time….). All this and a bag of chips. Get some while it’s fresh.
Recorded on September 15, 2022 at B.O.M.’s global headquarters, Paddy’s Southside Cave, in Chicago, IL USA.
