Bums of Manarchy
3 knuckleheads in Chicago, talking shit. For fun. The “Bums of Manarchy” is a Chicago-based podcast, hosted by 3 friends. Our weekly format is recorded in two parts. The first half content is all about sports, and the second half is for everything else (beer reviews, life hacks, complaints, knowledge drops, geo-political issues, streaming show reviews, etc.). Sports in the front, party in the back. Give us a listen! We take listener requests seriously!
Bums of Manarchy
B.O.M. - Episode 0068 - Mastodon
On the top of S2:E0068, talks starts with an NFL trend the likes we’ve not seen in decades (“Trade-o-rama”); the Chicago Bears bounce notable players; in Quinn, Roquan while snapping up a WR1 in Claypool; Andy Reid absolutely cannot catch a break; RIP to some sports greats including Ray Guy and John McVay; talk shifts to the World Series as things tighten up down the stretch; the pale hose get a new skipper (who?); big love for Coach Pops; not so much Leo for Kyrie and Nash; NCAAF chatter includes a crazy brawl at the Big House; and close with Scum-Bag-Of-The-Week ‘dishonors’ go to Bill Self and associates leave a turd on the NCAA’s dinner table and get a wrist slap.
The rear starts with a super fun beer review, as the Bums litmus test Old Irving Brewing’s Life Blood (6%ABV) a dark roasted Bock lager that was Rated in the Top 50 Beers for 2022 by Wine Enthusiast; Paddy makes an appearance at his high school reunion, and manages to ‘ghost intro’ a nemesis; the Bums noodle restaurant etiquette when something unexpected happens; Eddie’s goofy dog likes green doors, and only green doors; and close with a look at an emerging decentralized, federated social platform, and why Rocky’s using it.
NB: A reminder that the Bums take listener requests seriously.
Recorded on November 3, 2022 at B.O.M.’s global headquarters, Paddy’s Southside Cave, in Chicago, IL USA.
