Bums of Manarchy
3 knuckleheads in Chicago, talking shit. For fun. The “Bums of Manarchy” is a Chicago-based podcast, hosted by 3 friends. Our weekly format is recorded in two parts. The first half content is all about sports, and the second half is for everything else (beer reviews, life hacks, complaints, knowledge drops, geo-political issues, streaming show reviews, etc.). Sports in the front, party in the back. Give us a listen! We take listener requests seriously!
Bums of Manarchy
B.O.M. - Episode 0072 - Thanks For Watching Our Toddlers
The Bums return with S3:E0072 as the front chapter begins with Rocky recapping the B.O.M. podcast for 2022, by the numbers; the road to the Super Bowl narrows with an overview of the NFL Divisional Playoff series; Eddie tallies up the Bums playoff challenge with Rocky clinging to a razor slim lead heading into Conference championship weekend; Good guy J.J. Watt hangs up his cleats with clear line of sight of the HOF; spring MLB season is creeping up on us; legendary shot caller Pat Hughes wins a Ford Frick award; the Bums are unaminously unimpressed with HOF nominees Crime Dog and Scott Rolen (who?); the pale hose brass were sold damaged goods as defective pitcher Steve Cleving wins scumbag of the week honors; wife slapper Dana White extends his brand of white trash sports with SLAP, and the Bums are none too impressed.
The rear chapter cracks off with a double review of beer and booze; McD comes through with another creation from New England’s Trillium Brewing with Aerial Roots, a Corn India Pale Ale (7% ABV) — with a sweet nose and a bitter finish; and Paddy splurges Irish style with an 18-year old Jameson whiskey that is smoother than seal shit on a glacier — with caramel and vanilla flavors and zero burn; the Bums bid adieu to WXRT radio legend Lin Brehmer who lost his fight with cancer (RIP); Eddie asks tough questions around gun control in schools (not for the faint of heart); serial toddler NFH loses his sole-source phone during a field trip to the House of Blues in Chicago; Eddie sees a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac (well, kinda); and Paddy lets his GMC Acadia go into the cold dark night after more than a decade of faithful service. All of this and foul language to last a lifetime.
Recorded on January 26th, 2023 at B.O.M.’s global headquarters ‘East Bunker’ in Chicago, IL USA.
