After a one-week sabbatical, the Bums are back in studio for Episode 0024. The sports babble segment kicks off on a positive note, as both Chicago-based MLB teams lead their respective divisions, the Detroit Lions crazy ass head coach Dan Campbell wants a jungle cat on the sidelines, old man Phil “Lefty” Mickelson wins a PGA major, future NFL HOF placekicker Adam Vinatieri gets a gold watch (you read that right, a kicker), a review of NBA playoffs, rants around deplorable NBA fan behavior, and the opening half closes with full support of Namoi Osaka (who is passing on the Frog Open to focus on her mental health).
During the second half, the Bums enjoy Eddie’s epilogue/travelogue from his boondoggle to Nashville, as he gets a ride to the airport from oldest daughter (Prima), and also plays Baby Driver racing to the airport to help his wife, a review the best breakfast EVER, a frightening glass pool between sky scrapers, before talk turns to summer in Chicago, Paddy’s new Trex deck and ROI, Carribean influenced rum drinks, WTF is Falurnum, and wrap with a new segment —recounting NextDoor’s stupidest members (highlight: chicken slaughter complaints and lost pets).
