Show Notes Chapter Markers

The Bums kick off E0038 with some interesting vocabulary, and a week 8 NFL review including Adrian Peterson’s return to the grid iron by way of Tennessee, alleged rapist Jameis Winston tears his ACL, Cam Newton remains on the couch, the L.A. Rams are stacked to the rafters on defense as Von “Spectacles” Miller signs on (goes to sleep 4-4, wakes up 7-1), AA-Ron “Horseface” Rodgers is a bold-faced liar and anti-vaxer; the tragedy around former Las Vegas Raider Henry Ruggs III who. while shit-house drunk, weaponizes his Corvette and kills a pedestrian and pet at 150+mph (enjoy prison fucko); MNF Manningcast is becoming a thing (despite sidestepping the Bears-Steelers game); before talk turns to round ball and the excitement around the Chicago Bulls fast start; and in the wake of ESPN’s The Last Dance, Scottie Pippen is in the news again, showcasing his bitterness around signing a shitty contract (find a mirror dummy); and Joakim “Side Show Bob” Noah signs a one-day contract with the Bulls to properly retire, before talk pivots to the Chicago BlackeyeHawks sex abuse scandal and the irrevocable stain on their legacy (players, coaches, management are all to blame), before closing MLB World Series chatter as the Atlanta Bravos get a ring and the cheating fucking Astros get what they deserve.

On the flip, the Bums conduct another infamous Beer review, showcasing a HayMarket Beer Company old-world style lager, appropriately named Chicago Tavern Beer (5.5% ABV), a collaboration with @chicagobars; a shout-out to “Capones” liquor and craft beer store (When Paddy Met Freddy); the Bums tell the “dirty Sanchez” story (crisis averted); a correction is covered on the topic of Brandon Lee’s accidental death (movie set gun play); neighborhood Halloween hijinx and costumes are reviewed, as talk gets serious around the polarizing Kyle Rittenhouse murder case in Kenosha, WI, before closing with an impassioned discussion around our country’s double-standard soceital rules.
