Bums of Manarchy
3 knuckleheads in Chicago, talking shit. For fun. The “Bums of Manarchy” is a Chicago-based podcast, hosted by 3 friends. Our weekly format is recorded in two parts. The first half content is all about sports, and the second half is for everything else (beer reviews, life hacks, complaints, knowledge drops, geo-political issues, streaming show reviews, etc.). Sports in the front, party in the back. Give us a listen! We take listener requests seriously!
Bums of Manarchy
B.O.M. - Episode 0046 - Shiver on the River
The Bums are back for Episode 0046 after Rocky’s back-to-back boondoggle (WI and MI respectively); the stage is set, the t-shirts are printed, the banners are hung, the ladies of the evening are called — it’s Super Bowl preview time; a breeze by of who Bears GM, Ryan Poles, picks for his field generals; Tom F. Brady puts his legacy out to pasture (with or without cow pies, you decide); the NFL head coaching hiring circuit is white hot (whiter than Lovie Smith’s beard); The Washington Football Team’s new moniker sucks a bag of you know whats; Rocky Wirtz is defiant in his corruption and despicable behavior, as the BlackEyeHawks remain in the penalty box; NCCA hijinks ensue; former NFL lineman Greg Robinson had better call Saul; before the bums close with a discussion around how NBA Celtic Enis Freedom Kantor gets Kaepernicked.
The back nine kicks off with another infamous beer review, with a look see into ‘Hexe Vibraniyum’ (ABV 6%) from Chicago’s own Empirical Brewing, a coffee forward brown ale with some pleasant surprises; the bums bid WKR.I.P. to Howard Hesseman, aka as Dr. Johnny Fever from the popular 70s/80s sitcom; things get dark AF as Paddy recounts the shocking carnage in the wake of USC’s Dr. Geroge Tyndall systemic abuse; Rocky reviews Kohler, WI’s American Club and Kohler Spa (and discovers an absolute gem in Trattoria Stefano — upscale Southern Italian in nearby Sheboygan, WI) and also recounts the majesty that is the Pere Marquette river in the dead of winter, aka ‘The Shiver on the River’; before the bums close with a discussion around the responsibility of media giants.
Recorded on February 10th, 2022 at B.O.M.’s global headquarters ‘East Bunker’ in Chicago, IL USA.
