Bums of Manarchy
3 knuckleheads in Chicago, talking shit. For fun. The “Bums of Manarchy” is a Chicago-based podcast, hosted by 3 friends. Our weekly format is recorded in two parts. The first half content is all about sports, and the second half is for everything else (beer reviews, life hacks, complaints, knowledge drops, geo-political issues, streaming show reviews, etc.). Sports in the front, party in the back. Give us a listen! We take listener requests seriously!
Bums of Manarchy
B.O.M. - Episode 0066 - The Balls On This Guy
The first half of Season 2 Episode 0066 starts with the Bums suffering through another Thursday Night Football stinker, this time at the hands of our own Chicago Bears pillow fighting with the Washington Commies; and S2:E66 also marks the return of Predicto (btw, Paddy calls him Predickto behind his back), who drops some NFL game predictions on our listening audience; Rhule gets the hook in Carolina, Week 5’s MNF was a barn burner (putting TNF to shame); roughing the passer calls have gotten ri-god-damn-diculous; AFC West notices some crappy coaching calls; Devonte Adams flattens a civilian leaving the field (and deservedly catches a misdemeanor charge); NCAAF updates include the stink this is OU (NFH would agree); Saban’s Tide dodges a bullet; Rocky’s NWU Wildcats get thoroughly thumped by the Badgers, the Illini is ranked (you read that right) by out booting Iowa; talk turns to MLB playoff baseball (or not, if you’re Paddy); the Cards and Jays whimper out early; the seller of Aaron Judge’s historic 62nd homer gets fucking paid; Stephan Vogt’s kids call his last plate appearance before retirement; and the Bums close with the ‘Tom Brady Bunch’ lawyering up.
The second half begins with another intergalatically famous beer review, with Old Irving Brewing’s “Summer Krampus” (ABV 12% — gulp) collaboration with Binny’s Beverage Depot — a stout, imperial, double milk wonder — full of chocolate and coconut; and congratulate JL and Trevor as Old Irving Brewing annouces the expansion of production to a second site (West Loop, Chicago); Rocky summarizes his youngest son’s first father/son fly fishing trip — as salmon absolutely fill the Pere Marquette river in Baldwin, MI (thanks Uber); the Bums reboot their Stone In My Shoe (SIMS) segment with a theme entitled ‘the balls on this guy’; Rocky does most of his homework with a partial review of the ShowTime movie - Pleasure (not for the faint of heart); and close with Eddie’s tales of Malort. Get some while it’s fresh!
Recorded on October 13, 2022 at B.O.M.’s global headquarters, Paddy’s Southside Cave, in Chicago, IL USA.
