Bums of Manarchy
3 knuckleheads in Chicago, talking shit. For fun. The “Bums of Manarchy” is a Chicago-based podcast, hosted by 3 friends. Our weekly format is recorded in two parts. The first half content is all about sports, and the second half is for everything else (beer reviews, life hacks, complaints, knowledge drops, geo-political issues, streaming show reviews, etc.). Sports in the front, party in the back. Give us a listen! We take listener requests seriously!
Bums of Manarchy
B.O.M. - Episode 0034 - Escape from EWR
The Bums are back in the rail yard for Episode 0034, starting with a helmet nod to the late, great Walter Payton (aka #34), the Bears actually win a game with Andy Dalton taking a knee bruise and Justin Time Fields aptly handles his business, Roger Goodell’s ears are ringing like a 1950s rotary phone, taunting isn’t a thing but fun is very much so, as the Bums review NFL Week 2 results, barn burner match-ups and FanDuel bet slip soothsaying, the Bums compare FanDuel’s Friends-mode Fantasy football platform compared to legacy ESPN FFL, and close the front door with some good ol’ fashioned hand wringing about how the Chicago White Sox are cavaliering their way into the post season, despite having a fresh clinch in hand.
The second act begins with another world-famous beer review — advanced palates get a taste of Beer for Burgers from Off Color Brewing in Chicago, a solid Helles Bach style beer, blended w/ bourbon barrel aged lager (ABV 7.0%), the Chicago beer scene earns some well deserved global acclaim, as the Guinness potato pickers set-up shop in Chicago’s Fulton Market area with a new beer lab and brew pub, Eddie and Rocky share field notes from a day at RiotFest (good, bad and ugly), and Rocky closes down Episode 0034 with business travel tales from the dark side.
Recorded September, 23rd, 2021 at B.O.M. southmost headquarters ‘Paddy’s Cave’ in Chicago, IL USA.
