Bums of Manarchy
3 knuckleheads in Chicago, talking shit. For fun. The “Bums of Manarchy” is a Chicago-based podcast, hosted by 3 friends. Our weekly format is recorded in two parts. The first half content is all about sports, and the second half is for everything else (beer reviews, life hacks, complaints, knowledge drops, geo-political issues, streaming show reviews, etc.). Sports in the front, party in the back. Give us a listen! We take listener requests seriously!
Bums of Manarchy
B.O.M. - Episode 0044 - Fucking Bots
The Bums are back in action for Episode 0044 —with another double beer review featuring two delicious creations from our favorite Boston-area brewers! The first half is chock full of NFL Wildcard Weekend goings-on, as the Cincy Bengals get their first playoff victory since the H.W. Busch administration; the N.E. Pats get curb stomped by the surging Buffalo Bills; the hapless Philly Eagles are who we thought they are; the Dallas Cowboys throw up all over themselves; Big Ben Rapeless-berger hangs up his cleats amongst the media’s convenient amnesia; Kyler Murray makes NFL playoff history (not in a good way); and Bruce Arians’ quote around Tom “Never Retiring” Brady, before talk pivots to the Divisional Playoff round with picks and sticks; the Bums extensively cover the 2022 Winter Olympics (yawn, ok, not really) before talk turns very dark around the end of MLB baseball as we know it (stupid fucking bots). The bright spot comes at the hands of TreeHouse Brewing’s ‘Julius’ Hazy IPA (8.8% ABV) courtesy of Boston Dough.
The second half kicks off with a preview of Rocky’s upcoming “Shiver on the River” cold weather fishing trip on the Pere Marquette river in Michigan; the Bums beer review bis covers Trillium Brewing’s interesting ‘Dialed-in’ courtesy of the Magnanimous McD, a double IPA brewed with Pinot Grigot grape juice (8.5% ABV); the Bums bid adieu to Chicago radio legend Les Grobstein and a tape recorder story for the ages; talk turns to the great L.A. Train Robberies (modern era version), Bitch McConnell reveals his true self, and a big settlement comes in Ann Arbor MI due to systemic corruption, as Paddy passionately reviews the NCAA’s despicable behavior (and the absence of criminal charges) as Episode 0044 ends with a charge.
Recorded on January 20th, 2022 at B.O.M.’s global headquarters ‘East Bunker’ in Chicago, IL USA.
